Introduction
We aim to please all our visitors in our home based three-bed roomed Bed and Breakfast. The following statement is a summary of our provision. If you have any specific questions please feel free to call us on 01629 822 464 and we will endeavour to help.
Pre-Arrival
There is a bus stop near the entrance and a bus service every hour into Matlock. Local taxies can be arranged.
The nearest train station is 10 minutes away by car.

Arrival and Car Parking Facilities
We are on the on the right hand side of the road just before you get to the main part of the village. There is ample room for parking in the courtyard.
The surface is flat and gravelled.
We offer to assist guests with luggage.
Outside lights are activated by movement but will be left on if guests are expected.
Main Entrance and Reception
The front door has a small storm bar and is wider than normal.
The hall is spacious and has ceramic tiles.
Guests are escorted to rooms and facilities explained.
The Garden suite is separate from the main house. There is a small step at the double front door but has accommodated a wheel chair.
Public Areas
The dining room is on the ground floor and is carpeted. The door is wider than normal and has accommodated a wheel chair.
There are 14 stairs with a banister to the first floor where the India room and the Tibet room are situated.
We are non-smoking, but ashtrays are provided in the courtyard.
We do not play back ground music in any areas of the house.
Outdoor Facilities
Free access to the 4-acre garden, which is open to the public and has been featured in magazines and on the television.
There are plenty of seating areas, gravel paths and a small nursery where guests can buy plants.
Shopping
There is 1 shop in the village, which sells most things.
Bedrooms
The Garden suite and the India room have king sized beds. The Tibet room has a double bed. We do not have single beds or a family room, though it is possible to use a single room and share a bathroom.
All bedrooms are carpeted.
The India room and the Tibet room have bidets, bath and shower in large en-suite bathrooms. The Garden suite has a walk in shower and a spar bath. There are no grab rails in any of the bathrooms.

- All rooms have tea and coffee making facilities.
- All rooms have remote control televisions
- All rooms have secure lockable doors.
- All rooms have an information book and instructions for help if it is needed in the night.
Additional Information
ADSL is available in all rooms in the main house.
Mobile phone reception is good.
Smoking is allowed in the courtyard area.
